Denver – Ryan
http://ryandecorso.us/denver-colorado-united-states/ Left Boise at about 7:00pm and drove to Snowville, Utah. Eastern Idaho/Northern Utah is really pretty, it’s hard to describe. Mountains and prairie doesn’t quite do it justice. It’s fascinating to me that people actually live in some of these incredibly remote towns. In a way, Snowville, Utah is more remote than Fairbanks. It’s… Continue reading Denver – Ryan
Denver — Jack
After leaving Boise, we headed down the road towards Colorado. The drive through Idaho was slow and uneventful but when we got to Wyoming, everything changed. On our way through Wyoming, we encountered a blizzard that we had to drive though — a rather hardcore blizzard. Our route was stopped a few times because of… Continue reading Denver — Jack
Denver Part 1 — Jennah
Yesterday we arrived in Denver. It was quite chilly out, and we arrived late. The next morning we had to get up hideously early, since Ryan had a test. After dropping him off, we went to Benny’s, a Tex-Mex breakfast restaurant. It was really good. After that we frolicked in the park for a while,… Continue reading Denver Part 1 — Jennah
Denver
Woke up this morning at 5:30and Team DeCorso was on the road before 7. We dropped Ryan off at East High School for his ACT and then we did a leisurely driving tour of Denver and stopped at Benny’s Restaurant for breakfast (http://www.bennysrestaurant.com/). We had Famous Breakfast Burritos (eggs, potatoes, smothered with green chile and… Continue reading Denver
From Mark
So far, I have been pretty busy driving and maintaining and driving The Blue Van and camper. I’ve got a little time right now as we wait for blowing, freezing fog (or steaming, freezing ground, it’s a little hard to tell) to pass in Wyoming. Here is a little of my perspective of the trip.… Continue reading From Mark
Stuck at a truck stop near Laramie.
A blizzard followed by blowing fog caused us to pull over at the very first possible place which ended up being a crowded truck stop. Woke this morning to blinding sunshine above blowing fog with visability of about 10 feet. Stayed put as more and more and more and more trucks pulled in. The highway… Continue reading Stuck at a truck stop near Laramie.
Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada
http://ryandecorso.us/whitehorse-yukon-canada/ I’m in Whitehorse right now. It’s icy out, we’ve been in an ice storm since we crossed the border, but it seems to have let up today. I’m in a Tim Horton’s (the one on second avenue if anyone is interested) right now, I’ve been here for about an hour and a half trying… Continue reading Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada
Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Canada
Spending the night in Fort Nelson. Left Whitehorse Thursday (I think, seems like it can’t have only been two days ago), after Whitehorse the blizzard got worse. Roads were (and still are in some parts) a sheet of ice. It’s hard to believe that a storm can stretch from Tok to Prince George, I guess… Continue reading Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Canada
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
http://ryandecorso.us/burnaby-british-columbia-canada-2/ Writing this post on a bus after touring Simon Fraser University. Ended up getting stuck in the middle of an articulated bus. Spent all day yesterday in Vancouver, had a great time. Food is the same price in a convenience store in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in downtown Vancouver as it is… Continue reading Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
